Aerial Photography from a Cessna 172 — and Beyond
There’s something timeless about photographing from a light aircraft. Flying above the landscape in a Cessna 172 offers a perspective few ever see — the shifting geometry of roads, rivers, rooftops, and coastlines all captured with clarity and purpose.
With over 3 hours of flight time, we can cover wide areas and multiple sites in a single sortie — ideal for developers, councils, environmental surveys, and archive projects. This flexibility is something we’ve relied on for years, and it continues to set us apart.
For over-water work, we use a twin-engined aircraft — a vital safety measure when flying offshore. With the door or window removed, we gain an unobstructed view, allowing us to photograph shipping and maritime subjects with sharp detail and dynamic composition. Working alongside an experienced commercial pilot, we can fly at low altitudes over water, capturing images that simply aren’t possible from land or standard drone operations.
We use the latest Sony full-frame cameras and professional optics to deliver images with exceptional detail, tonal range, and colour depth. It’s high-end photography, grounded in traditional technique but driven by modern precision.
Drones are useful tools — but they have limits. Our manned aerial photography extends beyond those boundaries, offering a level of quality, reach, and reliability that continues to make a difference.
Because when it comes to telling the full story from above — it’s all in the detail.
