For more than 25 years I have photographed Ashford from the air and on the ground, recording a town transformed by new roads, housing, industry and the arrival of HS1. The archive includes photographs of places during construction, places since altered beyond recognition, and others that have disappeared altogether.

Boys Hall Road Bridge, Ashford — 10 April 2000

Victoria Road and Beaver Road, Ashford — 31 March 2004

Aerial view across Ashford towards Victoria Park, photographed on 31 March 2004. Ashford International Station and Beaver Road Bridge are visible at the bottom of the image, with the former B&Q store to the left and the petrol station beyond. The Chunnel Industrial Estate occupies the centre of the view, including the former bakery building, since converted into apartments. The Victoria pub has since been demolished, while Victoria Road and the surrounding area have changed significantly since this photograph was taken.
